Chad is Torch’s Sport, Culture, Venues and Events Lead. He brings over 15 years’ of experience in government, NFP and private sector consulting, with a track record working with government, sporting associations, arts and cultural bodies, and venue owners/operators nation-wide. Chad has broad experience assisting clients with strategic and business planning, feasibility studies and business cases, market research and demand forecasting, financial analysis and modelling, economic and social impact analysis, program evaluation and organisation reviews.
Experience highlights
- Developed business cases for major sporting, entertainment and cultural venues across Australia. Funded and completed projects include Sydney Football Stadium (Allianz Stadium), Western Sydney Stadium (CommBank Stadium) and North Queensland Stadium (Queensland Country Bank Stadium).
- Assessed the potential social and economic impacts of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
- Reviewed the national operations of an Australian Olympic sport, incorporating the operations of the national body and each state member association, to identify opportunities for greater strategic alignment, collaboration and operational improvement.
- Supported the establishment of Stadiums Tasmania, a new statutory authority responsible for Tasmania’s major sporting and entertainment assets.
- Supported vendor selection for venue management and catering rights at various major stadia across Australia.
- Developed operational revenue and cost projections for the commissioning, pre-opening, operations, maintenance and lifecycle replacement activities of a new major theatre project.
- Prepared a detailed business review of a major outdoor music, arts and cultural festival to identify key opportunities and risks to the organisation’s business model in order to support continued sustainability.
