Mary brings more than 20 years of experience consulting in the tourism and leisure industry, with a specific focus on the convention and exhibition, entertainment and accommodation markets. Mary has completed business cases for the development or the expansion of most major convention and exhibition centres in Australia and has a deep understanding of the Australian accommodation, convention, entertainment and business events sector.
Experience highlights
- Conducted a business case and budget for the New Performing Arts Venue at QPAC (due to open soon)
- Conducted a Major Venue Review addressing governance, ownership and management arrangements for a state government.
- Developed business cases for major civic and cultural venues across Australia including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Geelong and Hobart Convention and Exhibition Centres, Arts Centre Melbourne, Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery and the Australian War Memorial.
- Conducted a structural, economic impact and financial performance review of a major grant recipient on behalf of a state arts body.
- Led development of a business plan for an iconic heritage listed national park.
