Mitch is a co-founder and Managing Director of Torch with a focus on socio-economic advisory across a broad range of sectors. Mitch is an economist and impact specialist, having led numerous projects covering business cases and broader investment decision-making exercises, economic analysis such as cost-benefit analysis, and social value or public impact analyses.
Mitch prides himself on ensuring that his teams bring a broad suite of tools and techniques to a particular problem, ensuring decisions are made with the best available information on the full spectrum of impact that might result. He describes his superpower as being able to hold his own in technical economic and methodological conversations, while also thriving when communicating those concepts to non-technical audiences or facilitating workshops with affected stakeholders. More than anything, Mitch defines his role as empowering clients and his people to do and be their best, and to make a greater impact on society.
